Effing Hell! It was bound to happen. This group has been public since May, I don't know why I didn't hear about it. Damn it!

"This proposed amendment to the Arizona Constitution preserves “marriage” as only consisting of the union of one man and one woman, and prohibits creating or recognizing any legal status for unmarried persons that is similar to that of marriage."

2. UT voted on this last week and its margin of victory is very encouraging
Keep in mind that these results are from UT!

Passed: 57.44% Yes, 42.56% No

Constitutional Amendment Number Three: Rights
(would provide that marriage consists only of the legal union between a man and a woman and no other domestic union may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equal legal effect)

the wording of the AZ amendment is very similar and I think they have overextended themselves by not only banning marriage but also banning any "other domestic union may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equal legal effect." The American people are funny like that. Majority opposed to "gay marriage" but majority support "civil uniions."

3. AZTogether apparently spent something like $100,000 on polling recently
and found that a big majority of Arizonans are opposed to this legislation.

Seriously, keep an eye on this group, they're going to start kicking ass really soon.
