Why is there NO interest in the DNC meeting being held in Phoenix this
week? Everyone stays on this board and bitches yet there is little or NO interest when the Party meets and decides strategy and platforms! Why is that? There is absolutely NO MSM coverage, though this is the first time EVER the DNC has met outside of DC. I have grown to expect this from MSM, but I would think that progressive blogs would at least be commenting. I am especially disappointed that the Arizona Forum isn't excited.Where does everyone think the decisions are made?

3. hmmm, like you said
I went to the site and damned if I can find any info about any events on Dec 1-3 except for the PDA DNC reception on Dec 1 and the Awards dinner -- nothing about this being the first time or anything even remotely suggesting this is a first. I can see why there's no excitement about the event....

4. There must be a reason, but I don't know what it is!
Here is the link for the PDA DNC reception tonight: http://phoenixpda.com/

I will be attending the PDA reception tonight and also handing out fliers for our local anti-war group. We are also sharing a table with Ladies in Black and Code Pink at tonight's event. I, too, was surprised by what little information is available about the annual 2005 DNC meeting on the DNC website and other sites. I know the annual meeting is "invitation only", but WTF??? Any theories???

rather bitch about them then do anything to fix them.

I read somewhere that "net activism" is the most lazy form of political activism, because it is mostly limited to information gathering and fundraising (ie, not a single sign will be raised in protest on a street corner when someone blogs about how stupid Bush is, and not a single door will be knocked in activism when someone who's never attended a club, district, or precinct meeting bitches about how dead the democratic party is).

As far as the convention, the Young Dems are also holding their national convention, and I don't know how either the DNC or YDA expects to get a sizeable amount of students one week before finals week.

10. Busy busy busy week this week. Maybe that has something to do with
others lack of enthusiasm on this board?
