Arizona Citizens for Fair Elections proposed legislation
(different than Arizona Clean Election Commission)

"Proposed Legislation Introduced
02.09.06
A voting legislation bill was introduced by Representative Ted Downing and has been given the number HB 2660. Several other related bills were introduced. HB 2408 is the "Voter's Rights Bill." HB 2611 would require a voter verified ballot and therefore is a subset of the bill Arizona Citizens for Fair Elections submitted for consideration. Below are links to the bills.

Protections Against Voting Errors in Electronic Voting Systems

Electronic voting systems are susceptible to errors caused by software imperfections (bugs) and tampering. As Arizona updates its voting technology to greater dependence on electronic voting systems, statutory changes are necessary to protect the security and integrity of election software . Current law provides no requirements to check the accuracy of the electronic tabulation or assure standardized certification of election software. The bill codifies and standardizes..."
