What Air America Phoenix really wants you to do!
This is from Jeff Farias of "The Truth to Power Hour." He is also the producer of the Mike Newcomb Show.

Hello friends,

I want to thank each of you for your expressions of concern and support regarding the upcoming
changes at Air America Phoenix.

We had a staff meeting this evening. Bob Christy updated us on the progress of finding a new station.
Things are going very well and we are confident and hopeful.

Many of you have asked me if there was any way you could help.
We don't need donations and we don't need investors.

What we do need is advertisers.
Our sales staff is hard at work putting together contracts with advertisers for the coming months.
These contracts are a vital step in securing the funding necessary to purchase a new station.

If you know any good left leaning businesses or operate a small business yourself, please consider stepping up now and advertising on Air AMerica Phoenix.

Mike Thomas is our general sales manager
contact him at 602 296 3610
or at miket@1010kxxt.com

Time is of the essence.

Thanks,

Jeff Farias

2. Why do you suppose they are having a difficult time getting advertisers?
C'mon, this town is not that red.

I will think about who I can get to contact Mike.

4. It's not to be more attractive for purchase
It's to have as many advertisers under contract in order to put a viable package together to insure financing another station.

Advertisers are what it's all about on the business end.

We need to keep these guys on the airwaves.

10. It's all about reach.
Those with the most reach, ie listeners, wins.

6. the latest news
There was an article posted on the Republic website last night with some news (see below). Supporting their current advertisers is probably also helpful, in that they'll be more likely to stick with Air America during the coming transition.

Air America has chance at another spot on dial

excerpt:

According to Christy, the plug will not be pulled on the network anytime soon. He says Communicom will change the station's format; however, it has graciously agreed to keep Air America programs on the air until it finds a new home.

The person looking to relocate Air America is none other than Christy, who holds the rights in Phoenix.

"I can move it to a new station," he says. "I'm working like a crazy man to put together the funding to buy another station."
