2. Google News...not plain Google
Not sure if you tried this, but if you're wanting to search for something in the news, be sure to click on the "News" search on the Google page (or better yet, you might start out by browsing to "news.google.com"). For example, you could search on:

arizona election results

Click on "News" and you'll get results sorted by "relevance" to your term(s). However, with something especially time-sensitive, then you should usually click on the "Sort by date" option in the upper right-hand corner.

A plain Google search on the same terms will be polluted with outdated hits (lots of 2004 stuff) and "noise" rather than what you're actually seeking.

I'm in Tempe, and not only did they NOT have any results posted on their "UNOFFICIAL MARCH 14 PRIMARY RESULTS" page last night (despite this statement on their website "Available after approx. 9:00 p.m. Election Night"), up until a few minutes ago, there were no results posted other than the total number of ballots cast (an right now, that doesn't include the early ballots). The web pages look totally amateurish, also, IMO -- here's the link:

3. Phoenix voters appear to back all 7 bond propositions (AZ Republic)

Phoenix voters appear to back all 7 bond propositions
Gordon: Election will define future

Phoenix voters gave strong support to the seven bond propositions Tuesday, allowing city officials to move forward with $878.5 million worth of citywide projects.

Mayor Phil Gordon claimed victory at a block party Tuesday when less than a third of the precinct returns were counted. Late Tuesday, all propositions were winning with at least 60 percent approval.

The bond money will pay for 164 individual projects, such as police and fire stations, libraries and storm sewers.

The most notable is the expansion of the fledging Arizona State University campus in downtown Phoenix, which is intended to create an urban university.
