Jim Pederson First Ads Start Tonight
Below is an email from the Pederson campaign.

Question: Has anyone made a contribution to his campaign from the web site? There are 3 actions:

Contribute
Volunteer
Sign Up for Email

On my computer, the only one that comes up with a SUBMIT button to click is the one to volunteer.

Please confirm this or let me know if you're seeing a way to submit for the contribute screen.

"Tonight, we kickoff an important part of our effort to change this country -- the airing of the first ads in the U.S. Senate campaign.

http://backyard.politication.com/plugins/distribution/common/trackback.php?table=distribution_iw54o9_g3k4c&lid=ixjc3f_ncmf8&da_id=ixjcii_1j0z1o&type=l&done=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pederson2006.com%2Fcommercials.asp

It's a phase that will introduce Jim Pederson to the voters of Arizona and make clear that when they step into the voting booth in November, they're going to have a real choice about who they want to send back to Washington.

I encourage you to drop by our revamped website - www.pederson2006.com - and check out the ads "Self-made" and "Results." Together, they represent an important narrative for the campaign. Jim is a candidate with a common sense perspective on the most important issues that face America, and he's built a career on bringing people together to tackle tough problems and deliver results. That's exactly why when he goes to Washington, Jim will be nobody's senator but ours.

If the polls are any indication, the people of Arizona are hungry for change. It's our bet that the voters of this state will see in Jim an alternative to the failed leadership they've received from his opponent. It is our bet that they're ready for an independent voice prepared to seriously tackle health care (especially prescription drug costs), education and immigration.

One of the critical ways you can help this campaign is by talking to your friends, neighbors and co-workers about why this election between Jim and Senator Kyl is so crucial. But don't stop there. The broadcast of the first commercials of the campaign season is a great opportunity to reinforce the message of the ads with letters to the editor of your local newspaper.

Letters should typically be 250 words or less, tightly focused around one idea and echo the message of the ads. This is an opportunity to point out the Washington needs more people like Jim Pederson, leaders who will put the people of Arizona first, instead of drug company lobbyists, the insurance industry or the narrow interests of bitter partisans. Together, we can help educate the people of this state about the profound choice they face in November.

We're counting on you.

You're going to be hearing a lot more from us in the coming months, as is our opponent, Sen. Jon Kyl. That's why I urge you to join us and be part of an historic moment in Arizona. Please take this opportunity to schedule time to volunteer, give financially to the campaign or simply tell a friend or neighbor about the choices they face in November.

We can't be successful without you.

Sincerely,

Joe Yuhas
Pederson 2006 Campaign Chairman

Mario E. Diaz
Pederson 2006 Campaign Manager"

5. Thanks for your efforts!
I saw the commercials.

My concern is that there doesn't seem to be a way to submit financial information from the contribution page. Near the last day of last quarter I tried to make a contribution from that page.

I couldn't. There wasn't a submit button or anything to conclude the transaction, unlike on the volunteer page sign up, where there is a submit button.

I sent in a check instead.

I wrote to their contact email address about it, and they said they'd let the web people know and it would be fixed that afternoon.

Unless there is a peculiarity in my Dell XPS 400 computer and monitor, there still is no submit button or a way to make a contribution.

I am concerned contributions much needed by the Pederson campaign are being lost. I'm worried they're losing contributions due to what seems to be a problem.

I also referred them to some of the folks who do WesPac's web technical stuff and suggested contacting SecuringAmerica, reminding them that Wes had endorsed Pederson.

I figure if others tell them the same thing, maybe it will get taken care of.

11. I saw the ad today, first time I saw it on tv.
Then I think it was on the local NBC tv news that there was a "pundit" saying he is trying to run as an independent, but he has given a lot of money to Democrats and was the chair of the Dem Party in AZ.

I think they missed the point Pederson is making. I believe the point of the ads is that he'll represent the people of Arizona and not the special interest groups or those who send lobbyists to Washington DC.

By looking at the front page of his website and watching his tv ads, you'd think he was an independent. There's no mention that he is running as a DEMOCRAT. That rubs me the wrong way.

14. Help us defeat Rick Renzi
We started running ads three weeks ago. Go to MikeCforCongress to check them out. As you folks know, Renzi has lots of money and we need your help in defeating him and the corrupt Republican machine. Even if you are in the valley you understand how important it is to take this seat in November. Please go to MikeCforCongress and be as generous as possible.

Many thanks,

Mike Caccioppoli

18. I'm excited.
Saw the first Pederson poster tonite.
Was near the Chandler Mall.

To all of you that are fighting Pederson -
He's ALOT better than Kyl. And he does have a chance.

No he's not the perfect candidate. But we have to take steps to get where we want to go.

Kyl might not be that easy to beat in this state.
I don't think that most Arizonans pay that much attention to our senators. And unfortunately
Vile Kyl could win in November just on name recognition.

I scream at the tv everytime I see Kyl.

Whatever it takes to get him outta there.
