The Charles Goyette Show is Back on the Air ...............
Show starts Monday June 19th.
On 1100am KFNX
6/9am Monday thru Friday
Well, he's not on Air America Phoenix, but for those who grew fond of Charles' show this should come as great news.
It's going to be interesting to see how the matchup between Dr. Mike and Charles pans out.
Stayed tuned.

3. Well I certainly respect
your opinion, but Charles did have an informative and entertaining show.
His guest list was pretty impressive for a local host. He interviewed Cindy Sheehan, Ray McGovern, Scott Ritter, Sibel Edmonds & others. And had them on regularly.
I didn't always agree with him, but I liked his show.

4. after hearing him cackle along with the idea that
Jan Brewer should call an emergency legislative session while Gov. Napolitano was out of the country to pass every single ultra right-wing bill our batshit insane legislature could cook up, I just don't see why he was ever on Air America on the first place.

5. I was a big fan till he instructed people NOT to vote Dem.
I am finished with him I hope he fails! Sorry to be nasty but what he did on AAR was a disgrace. I actually think concerning his opinions about Dems, it is inappropriate to promote him on DU . JMHO.

7. What opinions do you speak of?

Maybe I'm misinformed.
I heard Charles say on many occasions that he was neither a Rep or Dem.
Again, I didn't agree with him on everything, but I thought his show for the most part was pretty good.
A lot better than getting beat over the head every 15 minutes about being a liberty lovin' freedom fighten' good doctor. I'm sorry, but I have about as much of that as I can take.
Dr. Mike is a good guy, probably a good doctor, and I applaud him for his effort in getting Air America back on the air, but daily talk show host, he's not.

8. Charles is libertarian. And he actually instructed his listeners NOT
to vote Democratic in 2004. He also said not to vote GOP. He suggested staying home. It was outrageous. And I really liked Charles but that was unforgivable. He was on AAR and it was on election day as I recall. As for Mike, I tend to agree. I am surpised that he was the first to be syndicated. I always thought Charles would be first but go figure.

9. I'm with you Saracat - I was listening to him when he said not to vote for
Kerry. I never forgave him.

And didn't he ask for some outrageous salary when
AAR came back on the air.

10. Well, I listened to
him almost everyday. Maybe not the whole show everyday, but a lot of it.
I don't remember him saying that, but I don't doubt that he did.
Under what context was this comment made? Was he making a point about not being happy with either candidate. Was it in reference to Kerry not taking a real stand against the war?
I dunno.
I'll tell you one thing, I'm not going to let a couple of comments keep me away from listening to him.
At least most of us have two choices now for morning radio. You can listen to Charles or Mike. That's better than it was a couple of years ago.

12. He was on 1100 back then
It was the day before the election. He was on 1100 at the time. He went into this long speech about why you shouldn't vote for bsh. I was pumped about the election, I thought he was going to give Kerry a big push, but then he went into a whole speech on why you shouldn't vote for Kerry. He wanted everyone to vote for Bandarik. I was screaming while driving on the 101. I understand the need for a third party, but not that election. It was too important. I have to confess that I didn't listen to him too much while he was on 1010, so to me it was no great loss.

I am a die hard democrat. I can relate more to Randi than I could to Charles.

13. Well since I
know both of them and consider them friends, I can also relate to Randi more. She's pretty special, on and off the air.
Charles is also a good guy. He's got some different opinions, but he's a great talk show host.

14. The bottom line is that it's great that we have a choice.
I remember listening to 550 and 620 when that was all we had to choose from.

No matter what we think about Charles or Mike, we've come a long, long way :)!

15. I don't know, but it might help if he didn't do all call-ins. I think
having segments with guests more often or other stuff would be better.

11. Thanks for this information
I am in the minority here but I prefer Charles to Dr. Mike. Didn't Charles go to 1100 after leaving 550?
