I hate Pederson's slogan.. "Nobody's Senator but Ours"
I read that and I just think, "Jim Pederson.. Nobody's Senator." Ugh..

If Jim had some charisma he would trounce Kyl. He just isn't the type of guy who excites the voting base. It's more like Kyl is such a rat, Dems get excited at the thought of voting against him.

Jim's got some money though. That helps. He's coming along in a good year as well. It's an interesting race. Definitely within reach.

1. You're not the only one.
I'm glad to know that somebody else recognizes what a disaster it is. Pederson is virually begging Kyl to ridicule him.

2. Really? I like it! It simply indicates what a sellout Kyl is.
All my GOP relatives love it and are voting for Pederson. Each to his own.I think it is more important that it is impressing the GOP.We need their votes to win.We know the Dems aren't going to vote for Kyl.OTOH we still have to motivate the Dems to vote at all!

3. it's a copy of a successful strategy
that some senator used maybe ten years ago or something. John Smith "OUR Senator." It definitely implies that Kyl is bought and paid for. The semantics are bad though. To equate his name with "Nobody's Senator" is not a good marketing tool. However, underlining "Ours" is quite effective, and any bonehead can figure out what the message to that is, so it still may work out for him.

Motivating Dems, tough thing to do sometimes. A lot of Dems I know are just like "Well, I hate Kyl, so I guess I'll vote for Pederson." I wish we had somebody who we could get truly excited about, you know? :)
