ISRAEL TORRES is the name to remember for Secretary of State!

Your Organizer, Pete xyz, sent the following message to the
members of North Phoenix Friends of America Meetup:

There is an important long term strategic plan that has been
identified to maintain and grow a democratic Arizona leadership
for the future to protect us against the old guard, extreme
right partisans in this state.

This initiative will help us secure the line of succession for
the governor's seat in the future. That line of succession is
with the Secretary of State that is currently occupied by a
very partisan, egotistical, and self-interested politican, Jan
Brewer. She is also extremely connected to the sinister, lying
Bush campaign. She has already demonstrated her interests and
is going to continue to attempt to manipulate and steal our
votes in a mutlitude of voter repression and fraudent attempts
in the coming election.

We must therefore do everything possible to educate voters
about the importance of Secretary of State role in Arizona,
about who is now in the position, and how we can take over that
position with Israel Torres a great supporter and worker for
voter integrity, ballot protection, and against corruption and
fraud in business and in lobbying in our state.

The Secretary of State is the direct line of succession to the
governor. If Janet Napolitano moves to a federal government
positions which she might be offered following the 2008
November election when the republicans loose the white house
the person in the role of Secretary of State will assume the
position without an election. Allowing Jan Brewer access to
that role would be as bad for Arizona as President Bush has
been for the US. Jan Brewer getting herself into secretary of
state is a direct attempt to take over the govenorship without
voters having a voice in that decision. It has happened
several times before in Arizona; Rose Moffet and Jane Hull.
And Brewer is attempting to position herself on the right to do
the same thing again.

WE MUST GET ISRAEL TORRES ELECTED AS SECRETARY OF STATE TO
PROTECT OUR STATE FROM BREWER. I WORKED IN COUNTY
ADMINISTRATION 3 LEVELS BELOW THE HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION FOR
THE COUNTY FOR 5 YEARS AND I HAD DIRECT CONTACT WITH HER. MY
EXPERIENCE WITH HER LEAD ME TO THE OPINION THAT SHE IS ONE OF
THE MOST SELF-INTERESTED POLITICANS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED
AMONG ALL THE COUNTY SUPERVISORS WITH WHOM I DEALT.

To make sure that Brewer does not get the chance, we are
organizing a very large event to support Israel Torres on
October 19th at the Scottsdale Civic Center. This event needs
support across the Valley from a wide range of organizations
including chambers of commerce, business associations, and
other voter and fraternal organizations looking to protect the
rights of working citizens against corruption and manipulation
by special interests.

I am sending this note to ask you to step up to help us
identify organizations and citizens we can invite to this event
to generate support behind Israel Torres. Israel has a great
website that will tell you about what he has done in the past
