For those that Miss Fred McChesney on AAR Phoenix!
Please write Mike Thomas (mthomas@aaphx.com, and cc mike@onsecondthought.net) and ask him what happened. And say you would like to have had Fred on as a daily host and that you miss him. Some nasty stuff happened to Fred and he is not at liberty to say. This seems a bit like the Malloy situation. But we should not allow this to happen without asking "Why" Please help. It would be nice to have our local progressive back on the air. Please send this missive ASAP because Fred is having to make plans to leave the state, and then we would lose the opportunity to get him back.

1. You know I will BUT
you know what I would really like to see Fred do?
Work on the next Presidential campaign.
He is such a down to earth, right to the point, cut thru the bs
type of personality, that he would be an asset to Kerry or Obama or whoever it's going to be. I heard him talk about that on a show, and I thought "yeah - he would be great at it".

You think there is any chance aarphx would take him back?
I'm so mad at that station, they cut Rachel Maddow too.
Rachel - who is making a name for herself all over the msm is not good enough for Phx?:banghead:

2. unfortunately, he is probably not well connected enough to do that .
Nor does he have the experience and he isn't young or "cute " enough.Sad to say, the "young" and "cute " are generally what they hire. And money and an ivy league background don't hurt.Personally, I would like to see Fred get a "real" radio job that paid.He can't live on nothing forever. He should hook up with Malloy.I'll bet he would help him.I am just guessing but I think Fred crossed the line a bit much for AAR.Even I thought he went a bit far sometimes but it made for exciting radio.JMHO.I don't know what the problem was but somehow, I doubt it.But it doesn't hurt to ask!Intersting that they now have Peter B.Collins who is like pablum.I think that is why Fred had to go(My guess only)

3. hmmmm
And that's why Fred was my favorite!

I don't get it. The righties have people like Oreally & Savage & Rush
BUT Fred was too much for the left? He was a pussycat compared to those aholes.

Plus, he has got a great radio voice.
