He is our only viable choice! David has the necessary skills to help us maintain our victories and win more.2008 is critical and we must not lose !
From the Desks of Janice Brunson Joe Rios Carolyn Warner Dear State Committee Member: As your elected National Committee members, we felt it was critically important to the future of our State Party to express our support for David Waid as Chairman of the Arizona Democratic Party. We know, first hand, the difference a strong Chairman can make. Representing our state party at the national level is illuminating. We see, first hand, how strong the Arizona Democratic State Party is compared to others across the country. Under David Waid’s leadership, we’ve continued to build a strong state party, growing our county and district organizations, raising more money, and supporting more local efforts than ever before. And our efforts have paid off, re-electing Governor Napolitano, Attorney General Goddard, Congressmen Pastor and Grijalva, picked up seven legislative seats, and elected Gabrielle Giffords and Harry Mitchell to the U.S. House. None of this would have happened without a strong State Party Chair like David Waid. We know it, the Democrats we elected this cycle know this, and national leadership recognizes this as well. That’s why Chairman Dean and the DNC made a substantial investment in Arizona in 2006, more than almost any other state in the country. Now, ask yourself this question—would the DNC have invested in Arizona if we didn’t have a strong state Party and State Party Chairman? The answer is, of course, no. We are endorsing David Waid for what he has done and for his vision for the future. He will continue to grow our Party by expanding its base throughout all 15 counties and in every legislative district. He will usher in a new era of communication and will build upon our fundraising success. And he will hire a new Executive Director to assist him in his efforts as Chairman. Please join us in voting for David Waid for State Party Chairman at the State Committee Meeting on January 20, 2007. Thank you for your support.
