John Shadegg is Wrong on Energy!

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, John Shadegg again sided with his big oil friends and voted against the Energy Independence and Security Act. This bill would - for the first time in 30 years – raise fuel efficiency standards for new cars and help address one of the critical causes of air pollution and global warming.

His vote against this bill is unconscionable. At times when high energy prices are straining the pocketbooks of Arizona families, our men and women in uniform are fighting in the Middle East, and with alarming trends towards serious climate change apparent, he chooses to continue our dependence on foreign oil.

Arizona needs new leadership in Washington, but I cannot do this without your help!
