This is huge news: a poll released just minutes ago shows that only 39% of voters in Arizona's 3rd District want John Shadegg re-elected - and it also showed that 38% of voters are ready to vote for someone else!

Incumbent congressmen like Shadegg strive for a re-elect of 50% or higher going into re-election campaigns, and a re-elect of 40% shows weakness and vulnerability. Congressman Shadegg’s re-elect of 39% shows that he is in a position of significant vulnerability going into his first ever serious re-election campaign.

We knew John Shadegg was out-of-touch with Arizona. We knew he had been representing only the most extreme special interests (like the oil industry) in Washington. What we didn't know until just now was just how vulnerable he already was to defeat in November.

We need you now more than ever. The end of the current financial quarter is coming up on March 31st. Any contribution you can make before the end of the month will help us show that Bob Lord has the support and strength to defeat Shadegg in November.

Just a couple weeks ago, I was reminded just how important this election was. The proposed Solana solar energy plant in southern Arizona will not be built unless Washington extends crucial solar tax credits that are set to expire at the end of this year. Unsurprisingly, John Shadegg opposed these solar tax credits! This is the same Shadegg who has consistently stood for huge subsidies for the oil industry. This is the same Shadegg who has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from the oil and gas industries.

Bob Lord is ready to fight for Arizona's solar energy industry to create jobs and to help end our dependence on foreign oil.
