Anyone been to Superior recently?

I was born there, over 63 years ago, but haven't seen the town since the 1970s. If anyone's been through Superior recently, how's the town doing these days. Last time I saw it, it looked like it was dying.

1. Last time I saw it was about 4 years ago.

Not dead yet, but still in a coma. It is however, an interesting town.

3. Holding it's own

Copper mines reopening between Globe and Superior have helped out - no housing in Globe/Miami, some have moved to Superior.

Another Copper mine is proposed on the site of the Oak Flat Campground - that land trade is up in the air - and what brought down Rick Renzi's career.

US 60 is now 4 lanes all the way to Boyce-Thompson. That section just opened a month or so ago.
