With no veto threat from a Democratic Governor, this is only the beginning. Watch for bills mandating school prayer, the teaching of creationism in science class, and on and on ad nauseam. Thanks, Janet.

Arizona - Land of Kyl, McCain and Arpaio.

I am so embarrassed.

:argh:

1. And don't forget Russell Pearce's attempt to allow concealed weapons on campus.
That's shoo-in this time around. :sarcasm:

2. Teachers Packing Heat In The Classroom
If this had been allowed back in my high school days, I doubt I would have gotten out alive.....

8. Don't they have anything better to do?
"Barto's proposal also would require that a patient be informed of alternatives to abortion, medical benefits and government assistance available pre- and postnatal, the medical risks associated with both having an abortion and carrying the fetus to term and the probable gestational age and physiological characteristics of the fetus."

Most of that is hogwash - but I suppose science doesn't count anymore either.

It explains the "public service" announcement I heard in the background at some store. People were saying consequences of abortion drove them to suicide and addiction and about 5 other things I missed because I wasn't paying attention. I couldn't believe I was hearing it.

There was an excellent video posted on Google explaining why abortions became legal - results of illegal abortions and such. The abortion rate actually rose under Bush. The only time it dropped was under Clinton. His stance was to reduce the need for them. Nobody is "anti-life".
