I'm A Little Freaked Out
I posted this in the GD, but I'd like to get some feedback from fellow Arizonans....

Around 8 o'clock this evening I was sitting at the light on the I-10 frontage road in downtown Tucson. A large bus (tour-bus size) pulled up next to me. It was all white, with blacked-out windows. Like a prison bus. On its side was printed "Department of Homeland Security" inside a round logo.

As I entered the take-out lane of a Carl's Jr., I was surprised to see the bus following me. It sat idling a few yards away in the parking lot. While waiting for my order I observed four young, short-haired males disembarking from the bus. Two were dressed entirely in white, while the other two wore white tops and loose-fitting, dark-blue or black trousers. They each carried a small, clear plastic bag that appeared to contain clothing. They looked to be in their 20s, and of Latin-American or Middle-Eastern descent. They loitered on the corner for a few minutes, and then walked slowly through the underpass toward downtown Tucson. When I left the lot, the bus was still sitting there idling.

I've tried to think of some totally benign, non-sinister explanation for what I witnessed, but haven't had any luck. Honest, I'm not the tin-foil-hat type. But this continues to give me the creeps.

Any ideas?

1. Border Patrol trainees...
I see them all the time. They bus them down to places like Douglas and Naco rather than pay their mileage on cars for what is
a training day. My nephew was once one of those guys (he didn't make it through the entire program). Border Patrol likes to hire
Latinos for a variety of reasons, starting with the requirement that the officers speak Spanish, but also so they can blend in
and find out who the coyotes are, etc.

Non-sinister? Probably. Of course, every f'ing time I drive to Sierra Vista (30 miles inside the US), when I come back I have
to essentially go through a BP checkpoint and get asked about my citizenship. Apparently of of the provisions of the "Patriot
Act" was to allow BP to stop and question anyone within 100 miles of a border OR coastline without probable cause.

The buses used are provided under contract from, I believe, Wackenhut or BlackWater or some other scumbag security contractor
type.

2. I agree. That's creepy.
I've heard a lot of rumors about all sorts of creep US military things happening south of Tucson.
