Conservatives Call on Napolitano to Resign

Couple of questions:

1. Why are Republicans in congress outraged and insulted by a Homeland Security report that identifies “right wing extremists” as potential terrorists? Surely they don't think it was referring to them, do they? Do they contend that right wing extremism doesn't exist? (After all, they might unreasonably reason: How is it possible to be too right wing? What's that you say? Adolf Hitler? Tim McVeigh? You mean those pinko, commie, socialist hippies?) And would they be just as upset if the report warned of "left-wing extremists"?

2. (Disregard the extraneous 27 questions embedded in question 1.) If Napolitano were to resign, could she get her old job back?

1. Reminds me of a LTTE I saw years ago.

I don't know why this stuck with me but it has. The article was about the morality of gambling and charges that the Catholic Church was supporting gambling by having bingo nights. To paraphrase the letter:

Bingo isn't gambling. It's a time to visit with people in a friendly environment. It doesn't cost much money and you could win a lot!

Clueless. We do X and because we do X is isn't bad because we wouldn't do anything wrong. It's Palin's circular logic.

Or maybe I need another cup of coffee this morning.

And yeah, I'd love to have Janet back. Brewer is showing more spine than I expected but I skeptical that she can hold out against the Libertarians. (Let's call them what they are: Libertarians who have hijacked the Republican party.)

Andy Biggs, Jeff Flake, Russell Pearce. They are beyond RW, they are RINOs, I think they are Libertarians in Republican clothing.

to EVERY American that she insulted and be impeached. I'm just a teller at a bank so I couldn't say "ma'am, I'm an American, I agree with Mrs. Napolitano, she was speaking of a fringe that exists on both sides, and there are more liberal-Americans than there are conservative-Americans, so please, enlighten me, which "America" are you speaking of? You are the minority. YOU have been outvoted- over and over again." I wanted but couldn't say that; I'd get fired. A guy can dream.
