(Washington, DC) -- Arizona Senator John McCain is among a group of elected Republicans launching an effort to "rebrand" the Grand Old Party. McCain is joined by former governors Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney, as well as current governors Haley Barbour and Bobby Jindal in the effort. Also in the group, are Senators Mitch McConnell, Jon Kyl, Lamar Alexander, congressmen John Boehner, Mike Pence and Eric Cantor. They're calling their group the "National Council for New America." The group plans to travel around the nation, holding town hall meetings on issues from healthcare and energy, to the economy and national security. According to a document obtained by CNN, the group wants to counter a perception that it is the "party of no." The document also states the group wants to bring new faces and new ideas to the GOP.
