Need advise re; tenant's rights in Arizona regarding property in foreclosure
all right, DU realestate and law experts.

my daughter in Arizona came home to find a notice on her door advising the property she rents was in foreclosure and that she has to vacate the premises by December 21.

The landlord says he is in the middle of loan modification and they won't be foreclosed on, but that things aren't fully settled.

She asked if he would waive the lease breaking fee so they could find a new place and move early (lease anniversary is April)

He refused that, even though she told him he could keep the security deposit.

Is she obligated to pay rent henceforth?
has the posting of this notice essentially broken the lease anyway, freeing her from being obligated to stay in the property?

She wanted to move in April anyway.

However she doesn't want to come home and find her stuff in the street either. She has been doing a lot of calling around and seems to be in a loop information wise.

If anyone knows what steps she should take, or who she can contact in Arizona for good straight answers, it would be appreciated.

2. I suggest a call to the Pima County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service.

A thirty-minute consultation can be scheduled for $25 or $35.

I'm not sure about the price, but good help can be found there.
