AZ-Sen: Now the Real Work Begins
by RodneyGlassman

Thu May 20, 2010 at 06:27:27 PM PDT

My name is Rodney Glassman, and today I turned in the petitions that will allow my name to officially be placed on the ballot in Arizona for U.S. Senate. Our campaign’s nominating petitions come from all 15 Arizona counties, from cities and towns I've taken the time to personally visit this year.

RodneyGlassman's diary :: ::
John McCain has been an Arizona U.S. Senator since 1986, and during that time, he lost sight of the primary responsibility of a U.S. Senator: to service the people of the state that elected him to office. In the 28 years McCain has served in D.C., he became the ultimate D.C. insider.

On the other hand, I am an Arizonan who will work in D.C. on behalf of my fellow Arizonans. I've been traveling the state and discovered that the people of Arizona are hungry to be represented by an Arizonan who understands the needs of Arizonans. I got married late last year, and Sasha and I plan to continue to live in Tucson, raise our family in Tucson and enjoy all that Tucson and Arizona have to offer. Everywhere I travel, I meet Arizona residents eager to talk about how we can revitalize our economy, put Arizonans back to work, make sure people can see a doctor when they need health care, and generally live their lives the way they choose.

These petitions, from all 15 counties, demonstrate what I've been saying since day one of this campaign: This campaign is about every Arizonan in every corner of Arizona. It’s time Arizona had a U.S. Senator who puts Arizona first.

Our work to move Arizona forward is just beginning, and I am here today to ask for your help. If you live in Arizona, go to our website and sign up to be a volunteer. If you don't live in Arizona and can afford to make a small donation today, please do so. Keep up with my campaign on both onFacebook and on Twitter.

Tell your friends about me and if you live in Arizona, most importantly, vote for me in the Arizona primary on August 24.

While I have your attention, today is the last day of voting for our Name the RV Contest. Someone is going to win a trip to Vegas during Netroots Nation 2010, and some of the finalists are kossacks. Please go vote tonight!

I look forward to coming back here to DailyKos as often as my schedule allows to talk about my ideas for moving Arizona forward and learning from you how we can work together to make Washington work for us.

6. I kind of like Dougherty & I have to say how nice it is to have 4 Dems fighting to take on McCain.
And I will work my butt off to get our nominee elected. I am so sick of McCain!!
