Wallace and Ladmo
Tempe History Museum honors longtime local favorite

Tempe, Ariz. – On Saturday, Aug. 7, the Tempe History Museum and WallaceWatchers.com will present a tribute to “The Wallace and Ladmo Show” at the Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave.

Beginning at 7 p.m. in the community room, Steve Hoza, a local historian and longtime fan, will lead the free tribute event. It will feature videos, speechifying, joke telling, door prizes, memorabilia and more. As an added bonus, Bill Thompson, who played Wallace on the show, will be making a special appearance.

1. Wallace and Ladmo was the best part of growing up in Arizona
Saw them many times on school field trips and other social outings. I never got a Ladmo bag though :-(

2. I remember their show
being interrupted due to Pres. Kennedy's funeral. They were a great part of my childhood and like you, I never got the Ladmo bag.

3. Wow - it still floors me how long that show was on...
I didn't move to AZ till the mid 70s so I missed all the cool music stuff they did in the 60s w/ Mike Condello and Hub Kapp and all that. What a memory to keep- I won't say it was a good one, but it is one of those "Where were you when's"
