While Jan Brewer remains silent, Arizona's prison system is falling apart

Nineteen days after 3 violent offenders walked out of a Kingman prison, Jan Brewer is staying silent about what happened and what she is going to do about it. Now we learn another prisoner has escaped. Jeffrey Douglas, an inmate at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Tucson walked away from his work crew today.

"I hope that he is immediately caught, so that Arizona does not become infamous for its jailbreaks. Most important, I urge Jan Brewer to address the very real risks to public safety that have been caused by irresponsible budget cutting," said Attorney General Terry Goddard

"We need to find real solutions to the broken prison system. Jan Brewer, do your job. Secure the prisons."
