Your take on Paul Gosar?

He beat my candidate, Ann Kirkpatrick, for the fifth district.

He chickened out of a debate, and said it was because he couldn't bear to travel by car from Flagstaff to Phoenix, and then later recanted and said it was because he had to attend a fund raiser for himself.

Foregive me, but my hunch is just that this idiot is so unqualified for congress that it is not even funny. In two interviews I have heard him give, he has begged his "supporters" to
"teach him" how to be a good congressman.

IMHO that is not an auspicious sign.

Your thoughts on the dentist from Flagstaff Paul Gosar who feels qualified for Congress.

3. That's the trend - no debates

Why or how this works, I have no idea. But the GOP trend is to refuse debates and to talk only to their base (with scripted questions and answers) Bush Jr. style. How can self-described "Patriots" consider that democracy - I have no idea. All it does is support the argument that facts don't matter and politics is about personalities (although Brewer even fails on that score).

Someone has got to invest in media in this state. Wasn't there a Democratic headquarters here this year? I sure didn't hear from them and they sure didn't help explain the issues.
