"this is buush cuuntry"
...heard during a commercial with quotes from freeprs who'd called in to complain about the crack in right-wing talk radio in Arizona.

other gems were "she said pissed off!" and "go home."

I'm so glad I finally have a reason to care what's on the radio now.

4. How many right-wingers does it take to screw in a lightbulb

How many right-wingers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

---SIX---
1)one to deny that a lightbulb needs to be replaced
2)one to attack and question the patriotism of anyone who has questions
about the lightbulb
3)one to blame the previous administration for the need of a new
lightbulb
4) one to arrange the invasion of a country rumored to have a secret stockpile of lightbulbs
5)one to get together with Vice President Cheney and figure out how to pay Halliburton Industries one million dollars for a lightbulb,
6)one to arrange a photo-op session showing Bush changing the lightbulb while
dressed in a flight suit and wrapped in an American flag

May this find everyone happy and well,
Vinnie

6. word
it's funny, because just before AAR came here I was thinking about how weird it was for me to watch or listen to the news without expecting them to make a joke, Daily Show-style. Now I get that anytime I turn on the damn radio. I'm thinking I might get one of those super-small pen-sized ones with one earphone so I can listen to it at work.

8. AAR makes me feel like we're actually somewhat
CIVILIZED here! Bush country indeed. I heard that too and figured these people are living in a world of willful ignorance as the bumper sticker count is sometimes 5-1 in favor of Kerry some days.

I am sooooo happy to have AAR - I am telling everyone I talk to!

9. yeah... that and the popularity of First Fridays
makes me consider a little bit that maybe somehow after I graduate I might stay in AZ. If/When we turn AZ blue, the prospects of that are very high.

Now if we can only get rid of John Kyle and Trent Franks.
