Michael Moore on Access Tucson

Folks...

I am happy to report that the deal is done...FAHRENHEIT 9/11 is going to air 4 times before the presidential election on local Access Tucson channels, with subtitles for the deaf.

You can also watch it on your computer at www.accesstucson.org. Just go to the site, then on the homepage, click on "watch online" and choose the right channel, (see choices below on the on-air schedule).

So far, F9/11 on tv isn't happening anywhere else in the nation! (Though I am working on that...)

As you may have heard, the nationally planned $9.95 pre-election pay-per-view deal fell through. While Mike works on bringing the film to you nationally, Access Tucson and I are stepping up to the plate to bring Fahrenheit 9/11 to your home screen in Pima County and Tucson.

If you have basic cable service through Cox or Comcast, you get the show - without any additional charge. However, this is a historical film. The DVD with subtitles is $19.99 and has alot of bells, whistles and extra footage. I would urge you to support the home video distributor even if you watch on Access Tucson.

If you don't have cable, call Cox or Comcast, whoever is your local cable company; they may have specials going on with installation and new service. Or find a friend with cable and you bring the popcorn!

Sunday latenight, October 17, at midnight on channel 72.
Sunday latenight, October 24, at midnight on channel 72.
Friday primetime, October 29, at 5:00 p.m. on channel 73.
Halloween, Sunday latenight, October 31, at midnight on channel 72.

Michael Moore told me, "I'm not a big believer in the current copyright laws, I feel they are too restrictive. I don't think you have a right to make a profit off my labor or my art, but I don't think there is anything wrong with sharing it with your friends and family."

When I asked him if I could play it on Access Tucson, Michael said and I quote: ""Yes, of course...burn it, baby, burn it! Please do that...and please try to get as many people as possible to see it before the election".

You can invite your family and friends over, pop some popcorn, and have a relaxing and enjoyable time. We work hard, and if that's all ya wanna do...go for it!
