AMENDED EMPLOYMENT WORKERS' COMPENSATION ---------------------------------------- AB 1737, Leland Yee, D Amended on June 6, 2005 This bill would require that on or before December 1, 2005, the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation, in consultation with the Department of Industrial Relations, provide a report to the Legislature that evaluates the extent to which Medi-Cal payments may be covering medical treatment costs that are the responsibility of the workers' compensation system. 2005, or that is receiving startup funding, and that would otherwise be subject to the above provisions of existing law. the Superintendent to annually appear with the administrator at a regularly scheduled meeting of the governing board in order to provide an update on the reports and plans described above. attending physician to be suffering from a terminal disease, as defined, to make a request for medication for the purpose of ending his or her life in a humane and dignified manner. This bill would, notwithstanding any provision of law, prohibit sexually violent predators released under the conditional release program from being placed within 1/4 mile of any public or private school providing instruction in kindergarten or any of grades 1 to 12, inclusive, if the person has been convicted of certain offenses or the court finds that the person has a history of improper
