The Democratic Bench in California

Hey all - I have recently founded a 527 and website to promote young Dems running for state and local office -- http://www.dembench.org.

Incredibly, I have nobody from California! Can you guys lend a hand and send us some recommendations for talented up and coming Dems under 40 running or serving in state or local offices? Particularly folks that could use the exposure and support.

My family is from Kansas, so I'd love to support a Jayhawk turned Bruin. Do you know if he is under 40?

I've met him several times now and he seems like the real deal to me.

I added Lieu and Lloyd Levine to our California page and will have an operative link from the map shortly.

If Center's over 40, he is over our cutoff -- other than that, he looks like a compelling candidate.

but figured he is too big for us. I'm eager to find the talent that folks outside the state won't know about as well.
