1. My husband would like to know if you can tell him
where in San Diego. He goes down there a couple of times a week, so I guess that's why he wants to know. He spends so much of his day in the road.

He's very worried.

Thanks. :)

5. He doesn't buy any gas there. His business is usually at
a place near Miramar and Camino Ruiz.

I hope that high price not evidence of a trend here in SoCal (since we already pay exorbitant prices).

Thanks. :)

9. I don't know where you shop
But you obviously don't bother looking around for the best price.

http://www.sandiegogasprices.com/

Seven places selling regular unleaded for $2.67 per gallon. A bunch more for $2.68 & $2.69.

In fact the highest price reported was only $3.09 and that is because that Shell station is way the hell out in east Carlesbad off of Palomar airport road where it is literally the only station for miles.

Sign on San Diego is reporting the average gas price in the county is $2.74 which is a whopping $0.51 per galon less then what you are reporting.

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20050811-9999-1n11gas.html#

That article was written 19 days ago but even if we adjust for the post storm price increase we still see lots and lots of places in the $2.67 to $2.75 price range. I'd like to know where you saw that price for regular unleaded because it would be by far the most expensive in the whole county.

10. Post storm prices.
Prices have gone up 20 cents to 25 cents per gallon since the storm but you can still find it for $2.89 per gallon.

11. I paid $2.89 for regular at Costco in Poway on Saturday...
Not only am I not getting gouged there, but I'm also "buyig blue" as well. Don't let your tank run dry before filling up and go to someplace like that. I'm wanting to check the 7-11's around here too, to see if their price is lower (since they are celling CITGO gas). Buying CITGO gas sends a message of support to Chavez too.
