2. Prop 78 was written by the Pharmaceutical Lobby

Prop 79 on the other hand was written by Unions and Consumer Advocacy groups.

With those as my choices, I know who I trust.

3. The CDP is backing 79. 78 helps the drug companies not the people.

79 isn't perfect but it's the better of the two.

4. Also important to know is if *both* pass...

the one with the most votes is the one that gets implemented, since they both tackle "the same problem". Therefore it isn't enough that prop 79 passes. We need to make sure by voting no on 78 and yes on 79 to ensure that 78 isn't the "leading" proposition.

There are field offices up and down the state, 30 in the San Joaquin Valley alone! They will gladly take volunteers, phone banking, door knocking, tabling. Get in touch with these people, get involved, lets beat this thing.

7. I've noticed.

The pharma industry has started an ad blitz to support 78 and tear down 79. I need to research more to figure out the effects of each but my gut reaction is if big pharma doesn't like 79 then it's likely the way to go.

10. I recorded Oprah and the ad came on- I paused it to read...

who it was sponsored by...all the big pharmaceutical companies were listed of course but it also said it was paid for by a company called Progressive something something I forget but the idea was I'm sure to make one think it was a "progressive" measure.

But of course...who really looks that closely.
