PLEASE HELP PROJECT AID KATRINA SURVIVORS (PAKS)

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
In response to the overwhelming need of the victims
of Hurricane Katrina in the areas in Louisiana,
Alabama, and Mississippi, we have formed a coalition
here in Los Angeles PROJECT AID KATRINA SURVIVORS
(PAKS). Our purpose is to collect and send care PAKS
directly to the shelters and survivors. Your donations
will go to those who need it "NOW" without
interference and corruption.

Extended Drive-Through Times for your donated items are this
TUESDAY, Sept 6th from 12pm - 7PM
(After Tuesday, you may bring these items to the Courtney address or the
Westminster address listed further below, at the bottom of this email)

(WE ALSO DESPERATELY NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH
PACKING AND SHIPPING/LOADING TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY AS
WELL AS PACKING BOXES)

IN ADDITION, THE USE OF MOVING TRUCK(S) (Ideally, one or more 14 foot – 26
foot enclosed moving truck) would be of great help. Please call ASAP if you
have access to any such trucks. (323) 467-4217

WE NEED TOTE BAGS ALREADY FILLED WITH THE FOLLOWING:

toothbrush/toothpaste
deodorant
soap
socks (new/packaged)
underwear (new/packaged)
t-shirts or tank tops (new/packaged)
flip-flops (new)
insect repellant
tampons/sanitary napkins
brushes/combs/hair ties
shampoo/conditioner
chapstick
diapers
Neosporin and band-aids

Donations of items not in separated in Paks will also be accepted, but your
efforts in donating items already separated in Paks as described above is
preferred, and will allow us to get the items there faster.

Unfortunately we cannot accept
Canned Goods/Food Items at this time.
