George Galloway in LA: No to War and Occupation Tour
Stand Up and Be Counted! Help Build Sept 24 Protest!
George Galloway is a Respect Party Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green and Bow in East London. He recently electrified the U.S. with his appearance at a Senate Permanent Subcommittee hearing on May 17, when he turned the proceedings into a condemnation of the war on Iraq. CNN's Wolf Blitzer described Galloway's speech in the Senate as "a blistering attack on U.S. senators rarely heard" in Washington. Galloway's new book, out in September, is "Mr. Galloway Goes to Washington."
This event will be a prime opportunity to build even greater support for the upcoming September 24 national march in Los Angeles (see below for more details.)
Event will Feature- George Galloway, MP, Michel Shehadeh, Defendant in the LA 8 case, National Council of Arab Americans, Pablo Paredes, U.S. Navy petty officer who refused to ship out to Iraq, served 3 months hard-labor for his anti-war stand.
