that's it , I have been Stickered.. re: Prop 8
Edited on Sat Oct-18-08 02:45 AM by proud patriot
I parked my car in front of a house with
3 McCain signs .. They put a "yes on 8" sticker
over my "No on 8" window sign.

on my way home I noticed all these yes on 8 signs
in public areas ..

The 1 on public property on my street came home with
me .

I ordered my No on 8 sign . It should be here
any day now . I can't believe all the hate .

1. Go and sue them for vandalism of your property
If there's any fingerprints on the sticker, you can, at the very least, get a restraining order against them performing any more acts of vandalism.

2. I posted a poll about public vs. private signs
I would never touch a sign on someone's lawn (or sticker their freakin' car, that's outright vandalism), but signs in public places are fair game, in my opinion.

Yes on 8 signs started to pop up around here, and every time I drive past one I want to pull it up. I noticed that a few have disappeared, and I've also seen more No on 8 signs popping up in their place. I hate to advocate "sign wars", but I really hate seeing those hateful "Protect the Family" signs. Gawd.

3. I will mail absentee ballots for my husband and me
tomorrow.

That will be 2 votes for No on 8.

A friend and I each donated a small amount so the No on 8 ad can air.

There are both Yes and No signs in Scotts Valley CA.

4. The "Yes on 8" signs in public places mostly seem to vanish before I can take them.
Well most of them. I've managed to pick up a few, and I'm not shy about it either. I find the "Yes on 8" signs offensive. I'm sure a lot of "family values" folks loved their slaves too.

But if someone wants to post the signs on their own lawn, fine, let them mark out conspicuously the safe houses of the devil.

5. I have picked up 3 Yes on 8 signs that were on public property...
one of them right in front of my house! I won't go on somebody's property and take a sign--if they want to advertise to the world that they are hate-filled bigots, that's their right--but I'll be damned if I am going to leave them up on public property in front of my house.

10. These Yes on 8 people have no respect for property
or freedom of speech. They are the worst perpetrators of sign vandalism and theft. It fits in with their world view of intolerance and rigidity (my way or the highway).
