San Luis Obispo's AIDS Support Network has remained one of the county's premier service organization for twenty years.
Our state Office of AIDS recognizes the ASN as a model of public/private collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness.
As you know, CA budget cuts have been pretty severe. They could use a hand or two.
I'm walking this year to help raise funds for the organization.
I've been involved with the ASN since 1988, the year I got my HIV diagnosis. They've been with me through thick and thin. A good bunch of folks there.
Two years ago I developed a bleeding disorder associated with HIV disease - idiopathic thrombocytopenia. It became life threatening. Their quick intervention in coordination with my doc got me in to a specialist the next day. He made the calls that I know saved my life.
That was then. Now I want to give back, as I can. I'm walking in the 17th annual Walk for Life.
I'd like to ask you for your sponsorships.
The links below include the ASN's homepage and my walk page for the event. I am "pinto DU."
