The city is asking property owners to evict the dispensaries. In return, the city will end legal action against them.
Fresno attorney Richard Runcie, who is representing two dispensaries -- Earthsource and Central Valley Collective -- accused the city of trying to do "an end run" around the legal proceedings by "trying to scare the landlords."

http://www.fresnobee.com/263/story/1642215.htmlI was wondering when this was going to happen around here. Nine new shops in under 8 months. Apparently, our illustrious City Council voted for this piece of shit ordinance that says dispensaries have to comply with state and federal law. Of course, this is impossible because they're in opposition to one another. I'm still trying to find LOCAL grassroots organizations as I'm ready to put on my activist hat & shoes and get out there are fight for this one.
The effort behind this MM jihad seems to be the "League of California Cities." Anyone know anything about this group? I went to their website and they seem pretty innocuous but the money for this has to be coming from somewhere. This is the same group that's been so active in San Diego.
