I received this email from the Courage Campaign:
Dear kerrytravelers --
The teabaggers are coming! The teabaggers are coming!
This Sunday, October 25, extremist right-wing conservatives -- popularly known now as "teabaggers" -- are showing up in Los Angeles to launch a "Tea Party Express" bus tour across the country.
And Courage Campaign members will be there to protest the teabaggers, along with our friends at RENWL and Rev. Lee of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
Can you stand up with us on Sunday for meaningful health care reform -- and a robust public option? Please let us know ASAP if you can come:
http://www.couragecampaign.org/page/event/detail/wrq Tea Party organizers promise to "highlight some of the worst offenders in Congress who have voted for higher spending, higher taxes, and government intervention in the lives of American families and businesses."
As the August recess showed us, it's important for progressives to visibly and firmly reject these extremists and show our support for giving Americans an alternative to the health insurance companies.
Will you show up on Sunday? With health care reform and a public option currently being debated in Congress, we need to counter the teabaggers and let the public know that support for meaningful health care reform is strong.

Time: 4 - 5:30 p.m.
Rally Location: Griffith Park (Pad D - Crystal Springs Area)

Thank you for standing up for health care reform -- and a strong public option -- at this critical time.

I can't attend, but thought I'd share this with the California board.
