Calif. city's police to wear head-mounted cameras
Source: Associated Press

San Jose police are testing head-mounted cameras to record interactions with the public.

The test using 18 patrol officers comes as citizens' groups criticize the department for too often using force during arrests.

Officers are to turn on the cameras every time they talk with anyone. They download the recordings after every shift.

The cameras are the size of a Bluetooth cell phone earpieces and attach by a headband above the ear.

1. Police seem to have plenty of money for all the
latest technological gear, while the public are losing their homes and barely
scraping enough money together to buy groceries. I guess the Patriot Act
was a windfall for most departments. There is something very, very wrong
here.

While in theory this is a good idea for everyone, it hardly seems an economic
necessity during these hard times.

context in which life is fearful and fear is life and you need protection and safety against your family and your fellow man and everyone else on the planet therefore everyone needs police to control this insane and crazy population they have created an image of and we fell for... we are dupeville. Can't even get our own money to buy us health care or other needed services and infrastructure from this death profiting government monopolized by the military war complex to prepare us because we are next.

Why are we training other nations in war and police building? To come after us some day? I can never imagine one country giving away its defense secrets to another unless it plans to use it against itself.

Seem like innocent trusting and sad but defeated American children to me. They can't fight back against the big bad stealth forces and will accept constant punishment without recourse as a way of life. COWARDS. Use language to get your needs met, not war.

IMNSHO//// what's up with that ?

5. Maybe they can pay for the things by selling footage to COPS.
I'm getting tired of every other episode being a re-run.
