Dear <Progressive Voter>,
It is far too easy for well funded corporations and polluters to pervert the ballot initiative process in California with their dirty propositions.
Once again, it's time for progressives to stand up for our state by voting down some very nefarious propositions (and voting for the good ones, too.)
We're making it easy. CREDO has joined with the Courage Campaign to provide a simple progressive voter guide to help you sort out the good, the bad, and the really, really, bad. View the Progressive Voter Guide Unfortunately, there are some truly horrifying propositions on the ballot this year, including Prop 23, the Texas-oil-company-funded initiative to effectively repeal California's landmark global warming law,
and Prop 26, the Chevron/Chamber of Commerce-funded initiative which protects big polluters by passing on billions in cleanup costs to California's taxpayers.
Voter turnout is expected to be low. That means the forces behind Prop 23 and Prop 26 need to hoodwink fewer California voters to pass their dirty propositions.
And it means that your vote is even more important. Voters began receiving absentee ballots this week, and half of California voters will vote early or absentee. So we need your help to get this guide into the hands of as many Californians as possible — as soon as possible.
View the Progressive Voter Guide and share it widely with your networks. The comprehensive guide includes election recommendations on the nine ballot initiatives from the
California Democratic Party, California Federation of Teachers, California Labor Federation, California League of Conservation Voters, California Nurses Association, Calitics, and the
League of Women Voters. You can view the guide online, print it out, or download it on your phone — so it's easy to have with you whether you cast your ballot at the polls or fill out an absentee ballot from home.
Don't let oil companies and big polluters write California's future with their deceptive initiatives. View the progressive voter guide and share it with your friends. Thanks for standing up for California.
