Fresno Sergeant and 3 former officers indicted by DOJ - Tip of the Iceberg

With 3 days left before the statute of limitations would have expired, the DOJ charged Sergeant Manfredi and 3 former FPD officers with civil rights violations and obstruction of justice.

However, these charges are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the corruption that many of us know about in Fresno. It's time to turn up the heat and demand a full inquiry into the Fresno Police Department, including the Chief of Police Jerry Dyer. Who among other things should not be Chief in the first place because of an incident in the mid 80's when he engaged in sex with a 15 year old girl. This is a commonly known fact and Dyer even admitted this "mistake" to the public, but the fact that he was never brought to justice has never been investigated by an outside agency. He has been investigated twice by fellow officers in the Fresno Police Dept., once when he was also in the Internal Affairs Unit in the 80's, when the incident occured. One of the Officer's indicted by the grand jury was also once known as one of Dyer's boys, before he was fired by Dyer, and the recent trial of Tafoya this year highlights Dyer's complicity in trying to cover up for the misdeeds of those he directs and is in charge of. With Dyer telling officers to attend the trial and a reported level of intimidation of the jury and officers who testified in that case. One more example of what has become a normal practice of concealing the misdeeds of fellow Fresno Police officers no matter what they do, whether that is statutory rape(ex Dyer) or using excessive force and violating people's civil rights(Manfredi, Tafoya, and a large number of repeat offenders in the dept).

(note - the author of this post is neither suicidal, nor does he own a gun or want to end up like Lt. Morales R.I.P., but Dyer and his boys are too dangerous to this community to not speak up or continue to try to hide behind any pseudonym)
