http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2010/12/01/BA8H1GJN4L.DTLWith all of the votes finally counted Tuesday in his East Bay congressional district, Democratic Rep. Jerry McNerney was leading Republican David Harmer by 2,658 votes - but Harmer still hasn't conceded.
McNerney, D-Pleasanton, tallied 115,361 votes, or 48 percent, according to California's secretary of state. Harmer had 112,703, or 47 percent. David Christensen, an American Independent candidate, had 12,439 votes, or 5 percent.
McNerney squeaked by Harmer by 92 votes in Contra Costa County Tuesday, which was the last of four counties in the sprawling 11th Congressional District to certify its results. Harmer won in the more conservative San Joaquin County, but lost in more liberal Alameda and Santa Clara counties....

Sobering reminder: Without the preasence of far-right candidate Christensen, McNerney would've been toast. :scared:
