Tuesday, February 8, 7:00 PM “Training: How to Lobby Congress,” presented by Judy Hess. Judy was trained in 2006 in Washington , DC , by members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Fresno Center for Nonviolence, 1584 N. Van Ness Ave. , Fresno , CA 93728 .

The Peace Community will be scheduling appointments with our local congressional representatives in the upcoming months to ask for votes on specific bills in Congress related to the occupations, wars, and military actions in Afghanistan , Iraq , and Pakistan . We will go well prepared.

Congressmen Jeff Denham, Jim Costa, and Devin Nunes all have local offices and we will schedule appointments when they are in town. We need several trained citizen lobbyists. The meetings will take place during business hours. We will match constituents to their congressmen.
