What kind of people attended the Repuke debate?

I'm assuming they were all Repubke but it really was disgusting how they applauded for Perry's line about how many people he has executed. I know it isn't only CA but are most of us in the USA so gleeful about executions.
I'm from Wisconsin. We don't have the death penalty but under our new Repuke governor I wouldn't doubt that he would bring it back. WI used to have the death penalty but it was rescinded many years ago as it was becoming a gruesome picnick-like affair. People would bring their kids and spend the day making a party out of it.

I believe it was a sick TeaBagger crowd. I don't believe most Americans feel that way... I just can't.

I hope CA does away with capital punishment once and for all. And for those who think with their wallets, it's been far more expensive to keep the CA program alive than to house criminals for life.
