Occupy protest comes to Walnut Creek on Wednesday

WALNUT CREEK -- The Occupy Wall Street protest is ready to march into Walnut Creek.

The movement that started in New York with people railing against bank bailouts, corporate greed and political power will be in Walnut Creek Wednesday. Two groups will protest at 4 p.m., near the intersection of Main Street and Mt. Diablo Boulevard, likely extending down the block to Locust Street.

The groups first gave separate locations for their protests, but now say they will protest together.

The two groups, Occupy Walnut Creek and Contra Costa 99 Percent, plan to protest near the Bank of America.

Some signs will be provided, but those who want to join are encouraged to bring their own ...
