An anti-teacher incumbent was voted out, and three responsible and responsive pro-kid and pro-teacher candidates were voted in.
Edited to add that the teacher's and school employee's unions had endorsed the three: two parents and one retired teacher.

2. Congratulations, roody. |

I used to love going up there with Doug when he gigged there. It was all he could do to get me back in the car on the way home, lol. Good to hear the school board is in better hands.

3. One week after the election, the superintendent announced |

her retirement. You would have thought she might have waited two weeks to not be so crassly obvious. Two years ago, the board ditched class size reduction. All K-3 classes went from 20 to 30, more or less. Teachers and library techs were laid off. Now the district is sitting on between 5 and 9 million dollars. Our kids barely remember what going to the school library is.
