Wellstone Action Announces the Winter/Spring 2005 Camp Wellstone Schedule
Building on our extraordinary success in 2004, Wellstone Action plans a full schedule of Camp Wellstone trainings for the coming year. Today we announce our schedule of Camp Wellstone for the winter and spring of 2005.
In the first six months of 2005, we will hold Camp Wellstones in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, and Washington State, with the likely addition of other states. The first Camp of 2005 will be held in the Twin Cities on January 28-30 (this Camp is completely full -- we will hold a Camp in Rochester, MN in June). We have opened two additional Camps for registration today: Milwaukee on February 18-20 and New Jersey on March 4-6. Both Camps will begin at 3:00 pm on Friday afternoon and run until Sunday at about 4:00 pm. To register for these Camps, click here or follow the link on the left side of this page. The other Camps will open for registration shortly -- keep checking your e-mail and our website for updates.
Camp Wellstone is a dynamic weekend-long training program that teaches progressives how to win on issues and elect good candidates. We use a distinctive approach to politics, based on Paul Wellstone's success at integrating grassroots organizing, electoral organizing, progressive public policy and ethical leadership.
Camp Wellstone is for anyone interested in gaining valuable skills in effective political action: candidates and those considering a run for office, volunteer and paid campaign workers, and citizen activists involved in community or issue organizing. The program is fast-paced and highly interactive. Sessions are led by grassroots organizers and campaign professionals from across the United States and the local community.
