What we can expect if Shelley resigns

1) We will lose up to 10 Democratic seats in Congress and about that many or more in the state assembly. We will also lose seats in the state senate.

2) More extreme worker's compensation reform that prevents most workers from collecting benefits from injuries.

3) Medical malpractice reforms that makes it prohibitively expensive for anyone to sue a doctor for wrongful death, even if that death is intentional.

These are just some of the things Arnold is working on getting through in special elections. But he needed Shelley out of the way first. Shelley was the only real block to Arnold getting what he wanted.
