So Bay Area residents are looking at around $9 billion for Hetch Hetchy and the Bay Bridge retrofits alone.
This is supposed to have been fixed with Ahnold's 'clout' with Bush getting us Blue State money from the head of the Reds. Apparently Arnie has little clout at all. In any event, with most federal funding nowadays, each community is responsible for its own repayment on bonds, the preferred funding mechanism (which Wall Street and the federal privatizers love, since the rich get richer and everyone else gets the bill !).
