Photos - Oakland's Grand Lake Theatre Marquee
This weekend's Oakland teach-in reminded me of my days in the Grand Lake neighborhood.

I lived on Chetwood Ave near the rose garden. My friend James, and his brother, Jimmy, run the Yang Chow Restaurant on Grand Ave, across the street from the Grand Lake Theatre. Great food, if you want to eat away from Chinatown.

Anyway, a couple months ago I came across pictures of the Grand Lake Theatre marquee, brought a smile to my lips. Enjoy.

4. CHIMPEACH!
:hi: On another election FRAUD link, sfexpat2000 recommended the California forum. First thread I check and here you are; kind paininthearse as well. Thanks for the suggestion-- and I'm closing on 100!

Allen Michaan-Grand Lake Theater Owner, amichaan@auctionsbythebay.com wrote:
"The House Judiciary Comittee hearings, chaired by Congressman John Conyers, and boycotted by the Republican members of that body have exposed compelling evidence of a well planned and highly sophisticated theft of the election in the state of Ohio. There exists compelling evidence that there was a high degree of fraud in many other states as well!

"To allow the hijacking of our democracy through the use of unverified computer voting and computer vote counting coupled with voter disenfranchisement through a litany of methods is tantamount to turning our republic over to a dictator! This national disgrace of an election must not stand. If it is not overturned then there may never again be freedom in our nation. Our mainstream media has shown itself to be complicit in this treasonous felony against the American people by imposing a complete news lockdown on this unbelievable assault on democracy!"

Well YEah. So does it reflect naivete to remain distracted by the complicity of the American people in letting this fraud stand; or is it healthy to remain spooked by the lemminglike comfort with which EVEN "progressives" move on? 2004 WAS "next time."

The Oakland marquee site had a link to the excellent Freewayblogger.com. The immediacy and outreach potential of creative pranksters is more relevant to me than the "long hard slog" toward election reform. The hearts and minds of the American people have been hijacked, just like the election(s).

Thanks for showing these photos, pita. Good examples of using creative means to cut to the chase.
