Senate candidates, backers fan out for pre-primary pitches

U.S. Senate candidates rallied supporters across the state on the final weekend before Tuesday's primary.

Republican Pete Coors joined a county-fair parade and barbecue circuit.

His opponent, Bob Schaffer, aimed for a core of dedicated Republican voters - gun owners and evangelical Christians - and did radio interviews.

Ken Salazar rapped on doors in Democratic strongholds such as Denver and Boulder.
