Taste of Colorado, Denver street festival, Kerry stickers everywhere!
My daughter and I went to Taste of Colorado yesterday and today. This is held in downtown Denver, by the State Capitol building, in Civic Center Park. Several of the streets are closed, and restaurants all over Colorado offer tastes, or more, off their menus. There's also the expected street vendors, all in all a lively and crowded event.

Today, there were a couple of Kerry volunteers handing out Kerry/Edwards stickers and there was a line formed for the stickers. Many people strolling the "Taste" were wearing them. I asked the volunteers how the demand was, and one of them told me he had run out twice, and each time had to put people off until he could get more.

BTW, no B/C volunteers or stickers anywhere. And we walked the entire area. Very uplifting day. MKJ

1. Good! We drove from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins
and back over the holiday, and I saw no George stickers, but several Kerry/Edwards ones. And we don't see many B/C stickers or yard signs in Colorado Springs, either. There may be more closer to Fort Carson, around the Broadmoor, and the Glen Eagle area near the Air Force Academy, though. It might be worth a field trip to check it out.

2. Outside AT&T smoking, wandering the lot...
I counted 57 K/E stickers among the 300 or so cars. a "W" sticker was on a Subaru with a Jesus fish next to it, but that's all I saw.

I'm near 3800 York. Can you guess what that is? It's a bank now. Hint...

3. We went camping in NE Colorado
Just got home yesterday. We were in Morgan and Weld counties since we camped in the Pawnee National Grasslands. I saw a few Salazar yard signs and no B/C signs at all. No bumper stickers on cars anywhere. Odd since it's such a conservative area.

Btw, the Grasslands are an awesome place and the Crow Valley Rec Area campground just north of Briggsdale is very nice. It's a different kind of experience camping on the Plaines. But I want to do it again very soon.
