District 3? John Salazar will most likely win this district and it will be a Democratic pickup.
District 4? Matsunaka takes on the hateful homophobe. In a dead heat. One could argue that if Matsunaka unseats Musgrave, that it would rebuke her and the Republicans for all this FMA bullshit.
District 6? Joanna Conti vs. Border cop Tancredo. Tancredo is very uneffective as a congressman. And is also a one-issue politician and a political pariah.
District 7? Thomas vs. 121 votes Beauprez. It is quite funny that Dave has issued the $121 challenge on his website as a riff on Beauprez's margin of victory. This could be another pick-up because the people in CD 7 are generally unhappy with Beauprez especially being in lockstep with Bush.
As for District 1, Degett should keep that and it will stay Democrat. District 2. I should hope Udall will hold the seat. He has been a good congressman, though there are conservative areas in the district. I saw a few Steve Hackman signs in Georgetown. District 5, I hate to be pessimistic, but the Democrats don't have a prayer here. Joel Hefley is too much of a legend down there. I don't know why. Besides, Colorado Springs is a bastion of Christian conservativism.
